Project Tom

My next project is to get #2 grandson's quilt made. He is too old now for the lovely appliqued clown quilt I was making, now he wants a dragon quilt. I found this panel on a US site and then checked locally and it was the same price. I have bought coordinating fabrics for the borders. I am just going to do borders around the panel, and one pieced border of flying geese.
I need to get this one made before he moves into a double bed!

The Bike

The bike/scooter on its own.

On My Bike!

Since my foot operation in early Decenber I have been mostly confined to the house. I am not a very good candidate for crutches, I had two spectacular falls! The bruises are fading, but my confidence was badly shaken.
My specialist has loaned me this little scooter for the duration and it has been wonderful. I still have to drag myself and the scooter up and down the 3 steps in the house but I am much happier with this arrangement.
Today when we went out I asked D to take a photo of me in action. I nearly go bogged in the long grass though, someone should mow it!

The Hungry Caterpillar

I have completed the top of The Hungry Caterpillar quilt for #2 Grandaughter. I even have enough leftovers (with a bit of patching), to make the back!

Starting Over.

Since it was January last year when I last posted here I aim to make it a more regular update.

Christmas has come and gone with me out-of -sorts again. My toe operation on December 11th meant I was on crutches for Christmas! I have had a wonderful scooter to get me around in the house thank goodness, those crutches are lethal! I go back to work in 10 days with hardly anything to show for six weeks off.
I have been doing some hand piecing of the blocks for the next raffle quilt for our group exhibition. They look lovely but I have found them to be tricky little fellows. The seams aren't very long when they have to be pulled out, and that is a positive!
I will post some photos when I have recharged the camera.
